April is Earth Month, and at The Rally Hotel, that means something. From pollinator pop-ups right in our lobby to a community cleanup along Cherry Creek, we're marking the season with hands-on experiences that connect guests, neighbors, and friends to the natural world around us. And while April turns up the volume, the truth is that sustainability isn't a campaign here, it's a commitment that shapes how we operate, source, hire, and show up for Denver every single day.

Whether you're a guest looking to make your stay more meaningful or a local curious about what responsible hospitality actually looks like, here's everything happening this Earth Month—and a closer look at the year-round work we're proud to stand behind.

Pollinator Power Hour: A Three-Week Earth Month Series at The Rally Hotel

We've partnered with the team at Butterfly Pavilion to bring Pollinator Power Hour to life—a three-week Sunday series taking place right in The Rally Hotel lobby throughout April. Each session is designed to highlight the small but mighty creatures that keep Colorado's ecosystems thriving, through interactive activities, fascinating facts, and hands-on learning led by Butterfly Pavilion educators. It's fun for all ages, no RSVP required, and completely free.

Colorado Pollinators: Learn about the bees, butterflies, and other pollinators that call Colorado home and why they're essential to the health of our local ecosystem. Sunday, April 12 | 11:00 AM – Noon | The Rally Hotel Lobby

Beautiful Butterflies: Explore the fascinating world of butterflies through hands-on activities and engaging storytelling you won't soon forget. Sunday, April 19 | 11:00 AM – Noon | The Rally Hotel Lobby

Bee the Change: Leave with simple, actionable ways to support pollinators at home and make a positive impact that extends well beyond Earth Month. Sunday, April 26 | 11:00 AM – Noon | The Rally Hotel Lobby

Our partnership with Butterfly Pavilion runs deeper than this month's series. The Rally Hotel is also home to two preserved pollinator specimen display cases and two native bee houses throughout the hotel—a permanent reminder of Colorado's remarkable wildlife and the ecosystems we're committed to protecting. As the world's first AZA-accredited standalone nonprofit invertebrate zoo, Butterfly Pavilion has been a leader in Colorado conservation for decades—holding Silver Level certification with the Colorado Green Business Network, restoring pollinator habitats across the state, and operating with a commitment to sustainability that mirrors our own. When we say this partnership means something, we mean it.

A Man And Woman Looking At A City

Cherry Creek Cleanup with Topo Designs: Give Back on Earth Day

On Earth Day, we're lacing up and heading outside. Join The Rally Hotel and our friends from Topo Designs for a community cleanup along Cherry Creek, organized by Protect Our Rivers. Together, we'll spend the afternoon caring for the parks, streets, and public spaces that make this corner of Denver feel so vibrant and alive.

Protect Our Rivers is a Colorado-based nonprofit dedicated to making a lasting, positive impact on river conservation through hands-on action, education, and access. Since their founding, they've organized cleanups across the U.S., connecting communities to waterways and inspiring lifelong stewardship—built on the belief that when you love something, you'll work hard to protect it. Topo Designs shares that same Colorado spirit. Born in Fort Collins and headquartered in Denver, Topo is a proudly local outdoor brand with sustainability woven into everything they make. Their MAP Pact initiative—which stands for Maintain. Act. Protect.—is a commitment to engaging employees and communities in caring for the natural places on their maps, from trail maintenance to river cleanups.

And the Earth Day fun doesn't stop at the creek. Once the cleanup wraps, head over to Topo Designs' Base Camp location for a happy hour pop-up with Call Me Pearl from 4:00–6:00 PM. It's the perfect way to wind down after a morning of giving back—mingle with fellow community members and browse Call Me Pearl's collection in a relaxed, celebratory setting. A great day of doing good, capped off with good company.

Guests, neighbors, and friends are all welcome—no experience necessary, just a willingness to show up for the city we love.

Our Commitment to Sustainable Travel in Denver Goes Beyond Earth Month

Earth Month shines a spotlight on our values, but these commitments run year-round. The Rally Hotel holds a 4 out of 5-key eco rating from Green Key Global and has achieved Green Stay Advanced status through the HRS Green Stay Initiative, with sustainability practices assessed across energy, water, waste, and community impact. Behind the scenes, we're continuously tracking and improving—because accountability matters as much as intention.

Sustainability at The Rally is also deeply human. Through Procure Impact, we source products from purpose-driven businesses that create dignified employment for people facing barriers to work. We offer refugee employment opportunities through the University of Denver's Ready for American Hospitality Program, and our coffee is roasted by Wagon Coffee Roasters, a women-owned, recovery-centered roastery right here in Denver.

On the environmental side, our partnership with Hotels For Trees means every housekeeping stay-over guests choose to skip results in a tree planted. Our participation in Clean the World's Global Hospitality Recycling Program transforms used soap and plastic amenities into essential supplies for communities in need. And through programs like Regis University's GLOBAL Program, choosing to stay at an eco-friendly hotel in Denver means your visit supports people and the planet in ways that go far beyond your room.
