Of Marsh & Mountain
Friday, October 30, 2026 October 30, 2026 The Rally Hotel at McGregor Square
Join artist and art historian Geovanni Barrios for an immersive evening of poetry, film, music, and collective artmaking at The Rally Hotel.
Drawing inspiration from the landscapes between Miami and Denver, Of Marsh and Mountain explores our relationshiop to nature, place, and the freedoms we associate with the outdoors. Barrios brings the Everglades' expansive marshes and Colorado's mountain landscape into conversation, inviting guests to consider the places that have shaped their own sense of belonging.
Throughout the evening, guests will be invited to create and contribute colorful paper forms inspired by landscapes meaningful to them. These individual pieces will become part of a collective collage, which Barrios will assemble into a new work of art following the event.
With poetry and music from special guests Emma Cuba and Awuor Onguru, the evening moves between performance, creative workshop and quiet reflection, offering a chance to experince art as somethign made together.
Of Marsh and Mountain is an evening about landscape, belonging, and the many ways we find a sense of freedom in the places we call our own.
